Lindt’s luxury Swiss chocolates have their origins in a small pastry shop in Zurich’s old town. In 1845, the owners decided to adopt the new Italian fashion of serving chocolate in solid bars rather than the traditional drink. Later they bought the famous brand of Rodolphe Lindt, along with his secrets to unlocking the chocolate’s melting qualities. Today these innovations live on in Lindor, a signature confection characterised by a hard shell and a smooth chocolate filling.
